Welcome to Ms. Battle's first grade classroom blog!

Announcements

We have had a great start to the school year! Thank you for helping us start on the right foot by generously giving classroom supplies requested at the celebration of learning.  Check the newsletter throughout the year to see if any more classroom needs become available.   I will send out a sign-up genius for FALL CONFERENCES in the next few weeks of school.  Conferences will begin after Labor Day.

Please remember to ALWAYS send a note if your child’s dismissal route will change! Please do not email me transportation changes.  Many times I do not have a chance to check my email during the day and from time to time the internet will be down and emails will not be read.  Always send a note via your child’s folder in the morning and REMIND your child to give the note to me.  You can always call the front office 404.802.8100 preferably before 1pm.  THANKS!!

ABSENCES: Please send in an excuse or send me an email so that I can let the office know how to code the absence.  The office needs thing information within 3 days of your child’s absence.  You can always call the school and let them know the day of as well.  Thank you for your support in this!

Please make sure that if you check your child out early, you pick them up no later than 1:30pm.  This will help us as many buses for afternoon dismissal begin to arrive at this time.  If you are ever at the school after that time, please park in the back of the building.  This keeps your car safe from buses.

Some of our finished work will be sent home in communication folders today.  Work with a check is classwork and used to practice and reinforce skills.  Please review with your child at home. Please note our classroom blog and my email that can be found at the top of our weekly newsletters.  I will send home newsletters each Monday along with any completed work.  Thank you for checking your child’s communication daily!

Keep up with what we are learning by viewing the Newsletters on the tab at the top of the page.  Also, there are many websites your child can use at home under the Wonderful Websites tab.
